Location: Kuta, Bali, Indonesia
Sav: Today. Was. Complete. Relaxation.
Seriously we woke up, got our free breakfast from the kitchen, and immediately sat down on the roof by the pool for the entire day. I alternated between tanning on a huge round cushion bed, and cooling off in the pool. Max took three completely separate naps in three completely separate locations… one of which was literally hanging onto the edge of the pool.

We ventured out between naps two and three to grab ice cream at happy hour (two scoops for the price of one is hard to pass up on!) and promptly returned to our sunny spot. Only when our tummies grumbled for dinner did we actually put on some shoes and go walking – when thunder clapped and it started to rain.
I don’t mean like a little bit of rain either. I mean thunder and sheet lightning and street-wide puddles and ‘yell over the sound’ kind of rain. We took the sketchiest darkest little back alleys all the way there because apparently that’s how you avoid taking super long detours in this city. Great. Cool. Awesome. The long alleys were so narrow my umbrella was scraping the side of the black stone walls… okay it’s fine. Things are fine! We were absolutely soaked by the time we got to a little Greek restaurant Max had taken note of on our adventures yesterday, but laughing about the sheer amount of water in the street. I’m happy to say our food was delicious and our walk home was much less wet and creepy!

Max: It was so nice to catch up on sleep, and have absolutely nothing to do except eat. I’m definitely going to have to get better at using sunscreen though…
Sav: Today was exactly what we needed.
Ahhhh rest rest rest.
