I wish I had show-stopping, ear-popping news for you.

ALAS.

I do not.

I did decide however that I wasn’t going to be holed up one more second in this place. I need fresh air! I did the first round of ear-drops first thing in the morning and then got myself up to wash my hair, put on some makeup, and look like a human. The whole shebang. I was gonna go out and find a bakery nearby in broad daylight with no purse so I didn’t look like a target. It’s fine. Things are fine. I have been assured it would be totally okay. What could go wrong?

Well I didn’t even get the chance to find out because it was absolutely pouring rain when I finally got outside. And it poured all. day.

Like to the point where it’s not actually nice to be outside.

Hello? Universe? Is that you?

What? Stay inside?

FINE.

It was double hard to just relax today because my friend Mike was like ‘hey we rented this amazing mansion in Bali and we have extra space you can come stay there for free.’ Not just me either he was inviting lots of people. It sounded like a blast!

BUT I CAN’T FLY.

I begrudgingly spent extra time today on the drops, hoping and praying to suddenly have my ear pop. On the bright side my left ear is feeling mostly better. It’s just the darn right one!

Also to all of you asking ‘why haven’t you made friends there! Find some other people to hang out with!’

Well well. Let me tell you. This is a party hostel and this morning a guy in a Where’s Waldo costume got like seventeen people to start doing shots at 11 am. Anyone not getting drunk is off adventuring.

These people don’t want to play crib.

Will tomorrow be the day I am released from captivity?

Is there anything I can do?
