Location: Taipei, Taiwan
Today was mostly an in between day, I’d say. I managed to make my way to the Hualien train station on my own and get some breakfast before the long train trip. It was interesting to see the scenery again in a new light, as it felt a little less sad coming back (man I get attached to things quickly don’t I?!). I got back in Taipei with no issues, but couldn’t get a room at my old hostel as it was booked by a giant group of evangelicals who would later have a very crowded meeting in the common area (the only word we could pick out was Jesus). I booked a room around the corner and went back to do my laundry and relax.
I had planned to go out and about but my laundry took longer than expected, so by the time I was ready to go, some of the places I would have wanted to see last minute were closing. Jack and I instead went to grab dinner at Din Tai Fung, and then back to Tiger Sugar Bubble Tea (turns out the kind Pauline wanted me to have is getting better and better). We went back to the hostel to visit (and for a few more rounds of darts!) with Ben, Zach and Sona. It was a nice way to spend my actual last night before a teary eyed (mine of course) goodbye.
Until next time, Taiwan!
