Lazy Eyes

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

I AM AT THE AIRPORT. IN AN AIRPLANE. Avery and I woke up at the crack of dawn to get me to here and thank god she came with me! My stomach hurts because I am so excited but mainly super nervous!

We sat down for a coffee and one last visit before I checked through security. I got really teary eyed when we were saying goodbye, it’s been the most perfect few days and I am so grateful for her. She has a way of making you feel so loved and important. How lucky am I to be related to her?!

I called Kasia and Ayla one more time, tearily (of course) to say good morning. I miss a lot of people so much already, but Ayla the most. SHES SAYING MY NAME NOW. She says ‘Wazaza’ but it’s consistent and I love it. I keep pictures of her everywhere and I’m so proud that I can’t even help but show her off to everyone. SEE BELOW.

I called Max too (ALSO TEARILY WHAT ABOUT IT) and he calmed me right down and made me more excited and a little less scared. Another reason to feel lucky. AHHHH it’s happening!

It’ll be a new day when I arrive, which is why this post is coming so early today.

Wish me luck and send me a little extra sense of direction if you have any to spare.

I’m gonna need it!
