Location: Dublin, Ireland
Savanna: Today was a day full of anticipation, from the very minute we woke up. Meaghan and I have always had Ireland at the very top of our bucket lists and were so excited to be continuing our adventure that way today. We opted for the rail sail pass instead of flying from London, which was super cool as we got to see a lot of England and Wales along the way. This included a place called ‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.’ Try saying that 5 times fast. I swear to something important that this is was real and not a joke- we sat in stunned silence staring at the train station welcome sign as it passed by. We also saw a lot of sheep.
Like A LOT of sheep.
Once on the ferry from Holyhead we played a few games of crib and laughed at our basic math skills over a bowl of fries, and watched the foggy view from the window.
Entering Dublin felt unreal as it’s something we’ve wanted for so long. But as it was close to the end of the day we only had time to find our hostel, go for a short walk around the neighbourhood to grab a beer and some pizza, then we made our way back to Abbey Court. Meaghan is fully asleep on the bunk under mine, so it’s just a short post today. Adventuring Dublin tomorrow!
