Savanna: It finally happened. We finally landed in London. Cue shock symptoms. We waited and WAITED (toes tap tap tapping) in customs trying to get out of the airport after a delayed 10 hour flight. There were 3 customs agents….I can fit more people in my backpack. BUT NOT TO COMPLAIN OR ANYTHING because after catching the train (and waiting in more lines for train tickets) we made it to Lewes for the beginning of our adventure!!
Meaghan: FYI this is pronounced “Lewis” not “lose”. The man at the train station was a little confused when I said we needed tickets to “lose”.
S: Meaghan’s aunt Samantha offered to put us up in this gorgeous old house in the countryside with a view of fields and valleys and old brick structures and moss laden gardens… It feels like a dream. Maybe cause I’m half asleep….
M: Yes, definitely half asleep. The house is beautiful and we enjoyed some time on the trampoline with Samantha’s two young girls.
S: the trampoline was built into the ground. Genius. No seriously I would have saved myself a lot of injuries as a child if this were a regular thing people did… On another note Meaghan is going to conquer her fear of spiders this trip apparently… Because I cannot. She’s already killed 3, one of which was the size of my entire hand. I was proud of her but trying not to throw up in the corner. Maybe we should keep a tally…
M: Spiders – 0 / Meaghan – 3. Spider killing has exhausted me and I cannot keep my eyes open a moment longer! Let’s hope the spiders don’t retaliate while I’m asleep.
S: WHAT?!
